Subsidised Finance
Subsidised finance laws and regulations – aimed at reducing – the cost of investments planned by companies, through non-refundable grants – have been introduced in virtually all EU countries as well as in most non-EU countries. Meanwhile, specific subsidised finance programs have been set up by the EU to support companies with their plans for growth and development.
With the common aim of facilitating business through subsidies designed to reduce the cost of investments, the programs differ in terms of the subsidised sectors (i.e. which businesses are eligible to apply for subsidies/grants), the criteria for assessing applications, admissible expenditure on eligible investments, the amount of the subsidies available and the institutions with which the applicant business must interact.
On top of grants, other forms of relief include subsidised loans (e.g. interest rate subsidies or interest-free loans).
Thanks to the specific experience gained in the field, we are able to assist our clients in this varied and articulated regulatory context.
